DIY Flower Crown
We are in the heart of the summer season now and I know you are heading to tons of concerts and festivals. Why not get really in the spirit of things with an amazing accessory that’s super easy to make! Flower crowns are one of the most unique ways to give your look that amazing boho chic vibe. Even if your style doesn’t really fall into that category by changing up the design or the colour of the flowers, you can give off an edgier more rock n roll vibe too. This is our DIY Flower Crown!
I decided to edge up my flower crown by using black flowers…think gothic Lana Del Rey…to fit my style and look. Here’s what I did!
What you need:
– Wire for crown (I found one that was covered in a twine/straw type material)
– Flowers (different colours and sizes are fun to play with)
– Glue Gun
Wrap the wire around your head to get a rough estimate of the length you need to cut it. The best thing about using wire is that your crown will remain mouldable at anytime.
I twisted the wire around itself and made sure the loops have a bit of space in between them.
Pop your flowers off the stem and arrange them in the order that you like. I also used leaves to fill in the spaces around and in between.
Using your glue gun, glue the flowers from their base to fill each loop in the band. The glue dries almost instantly so you can test how strong or stable each flower is right away.
The best part about making this accessory is you have total freedom to the design of every aspect. Slip on your crown and enjoy!
