Cee Fardoe lives a life most girls would kill for. The twenty-something Canadian divides her time between Vancouver and Paris, and she gallivants around both cities in the most gorgeous outfits. Luckily for us, we can all follow along with her stylish adventures via her awesome (bilingual, naturally) blog, Coco and Vera.
We recently got the chance to ask Cee about her blog and her style inspiration. Here’s what she had to say:
Pink Martini: What made you decide to start a blog?
Cee Fardoe: When I started my blog, I was in desperate need of a creative outlet. Fashion blogs were just starting to rise to prominence and I already had a closet full of clothes. Blogging seemed like a great way to express myself and justify my shopping habit. And it turned out to be both!
PM: What would you say sets your blog apart from the rest?
CF: My winning personality…? I’m kidding, of course. If anything, it’s probably the writing. I have a bachelor of fine arts in creative writing, and storytelling, not just talking about where I’ve been shopping, is an important part of my blog that I don’t think you always see elsewhere.
PM: Who do you think are the three most fashionable celebrities, current or past?
CF: It’s so hard to choose just three! Currently I love Leigh Lezark and Marion Cotillard. But no answer to a question about celebrity fashion would be complete without including Audrey Hepburn. She was the epitome of stylish.

PM: What movies or TV shows inspire your sense of style?
CF: I don’t watch a lot of TV, but I do watch Elementary mostly just to see what Lucy Liu will be wearing each week; her style on that show is always so on point.

PM: What blogs do you read?
CF: So many! My reading list is a mile long, and it’s always growing – there are just so many inspiring people out there. Three of my current favourites are Universe and You, Chic on the Cheap and Life, Set Sail.
PM: How would you describe your personal style?
CF: Neutral. I’m willing to try almost any cut or style at least once, as long as it’s available in black, white or gray. My wardrobe runs the gamut from sequinned gowns to ripped jeans.
PM: What’s your number one style commandment?
CF: Never say never. Fashion is about having fun and trying new things… and there’s nothing worse than having to eat your words after you’ve proclaimed, “I would never wear that.”
PM: Which spring trend are you most excited to wear?
CF: I’m not much of a trend girl, and to be honest I tend to shy away from anything that I start to see popping up all over the place. But I can’t wait for warmer weather so I can ditch my opaque tights and start wearing my favourite sandals!
PM: Which three Pink Martini pieces would you recommend to our readers?
CF: It wasn’t easy to narrow it down to just three, but I love the Vixen Vest, the Ballerina White Dress and the On the Horizon Grey White Top.
