How to make your own DIY dry shampoo
Hands up if you don’t like washing your hair everyday! Us too! When your schedule’s jam-packed with work, dates, and time with friends, re-styling your hair every day is probably not on the agenda. Dry shampoo’s great for avoiding a case of the greasies, but if you’re using it several times a week, it can get costly. Luckily, you can EASILY make DIY dry shampoo with just two or three ingredients:
1. The core of your new DIY dry shampoo is ¼ cup of cornstarch. This substance sops up excess oil like nobody’s business. If you have dark hair, mix in two tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder. Make sure it’s unsweetened, or you’ll have a sticky mess on your hands.
2. To your cornstarch, or cornstarch/cocoa mixture, add five drops of rose essential oil and stir thoroughly. Because what girl doesn’t want her hair to smell like flowers?
3. Apply it to your hair with a large blush brush, then comb through. Now your hair’s ready to style in one of these easy, five minute hairstyles.
