ICYMI: Five things we loved this week
Below are five moments of fashion that we loved this week from across the internet.
Etsy entrepreneurs: Do you want to get paid to go thrifting? Why not start your own online vintage shop? Writer and vintage seller Rebecca Deczynski spoke with other online shop owners to get their top tips for selling thrifted treasures for cash. You never know, you could launch an etailing empire!
Beauty trends worth falling for: We know, we know, it’s technically not even spring yet. But can you really blame us for falling in love with the fall beauty trends from New York Fashion Week when they’re so, well, beautiful? Elle rounded up the best fall looks, from glittery false eyelashes at Carolina Herrera to a not-yet-available Bobbi Brown lip colour called Pink Martini(!) at Tibi.
Get crafty: We had so much fun collecting the best DIY necklace tutorials on Pinterest. A lot of the time, DIY necklaces can look like a third-grader’s summer camp crafts project, so we made sure to choose tutorials for pieces that you’ll actually be proud to wear.
Fashion with a conscience: Move over, Ms. Wintour – there’s a new Anna on the scene. Anna Malika, an eponymous line that recently made its fashion week debut, is more than just a fashion label. According to Refinery29, it’s also “a platform to raise awareness of sex trafficking and to help women who’ve been victimized to achieve independence.” The collection’s proceeds go into a program to provide career opportunities to formerly trafficked women. You go, Anna!
Superb street style: No fashion news roundup during fashion week would be complete without a street style post. Racked pulled together a great collection of over 200 photos of attendees, snapped by Drierly S. We spy fashion insiders like Anna Wintour, Susie Bubble and Leandra Medine, as well unfamiliar, no doubt up-and-coming, faces. The entire slideshow is worth a look.
