Nicole Richie’s 10 best outfits ever
Nicole Richie’s life over the past decade has been a story of transformation. She’s gone from a sweatpants-clad socialite to a glamazon entrepreneur known for her ever-changing hair colour.
You’ll notice there won’t be any photos from before 2005 in this post. That’s because this is the kind of stuff she wore in 2004:
To be fair though, who among us can say we were well dressed in 2004? And her style’s gotten a WHOLE LOT better!
Here are Nicole Richie’s 10 best outfits ever:
At the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Issue party, September 2005
This bohemian dress was a huge departure from Nicole’s style at the time, and a big improvement. This vintage-looking frock wouldn’t be out of place in 2015.
Backstage at the Race to Erase MS, May 2006
This spangly frock is party-ready! She maybe went a little overboard on the jewelry, but we won’t hold it against her.
In Las Vegas, February 2010
Four years later, Nicole revisited the sparkly dress look and outdid herself. Simple black tights and shoes anchor this glittery tunic. Its short length keeps the long-sleeved cut young and fun.
In New York City, September 2010
Styled differently, the paisley throw may have looked too fortune-tellery. But Nicole turns it into a high fashion piece with statement sunglasses and sky-high heels.
At a fashion party, June 2011
Now this is how you do pulled-together boho! The flowy dress is polished up by the simple belt, classic heels, topknot and red lip.
In New York City, March 2012
Nicole is a bohemian BOSS! We love this whole look, but our absolute favourite pieces are the giant sunglasses and the silky red pants.
At the Costume Institute Gala, May 2013
Nicole’s whole outfit is great, but she’s particularly killing it from the neck up! Those ear cuffs are fantastic, and the deep brown-red lip complements her icy hair perfectly.
Shopping in Los Angeles, August 2013
Who says you need busy patterns or tons of accessories to look great? When your basics are an on-trend crop top and skater skirt in bold Pepto-Bismol-pink, you don’t need a ton of extras. A Chanel-chain inspired necklace does the trick.
At the Costume Institute Gala, May 2014
Lavender may be our favourite hair colour that Nicole’s ever rocked. She looks like a magical wood nymph in an avant-garde silver dress.
In New York City, October 2014
Matching your clothes to your hair reveals a deep commitment to the monochrome trend. You don’t need royal-blue tresses to pull off this look, though. Head-to-toe camel, chocolate brown or black would look just as great.
We could totally see Nicole in our Desert Boots in Black. Just like her, they’re a little bit hippie-dippie while still being seriously stylish.
