Pink Martini Collection goes Trick or Treating

Pink Martini Collection goes trick or treating and the tradition of dressing up for Halloween. The holiday most likely comes from the Medieval practices of  “mumming” and going “souling” was tradition for all saints day.  Mumming meant dressing up in costumes, singing, dancing and other mischief ideas. Souling meant going to neighbours door to door offering prayers for the dead in exchange for treats and goodies. This tradition was mostly started by Irish immigrants to North America in the 1800’s, but the whole Halloween “Trick or Treating”  idea and general fun costuming were taken place until after the 1930’s. This then eventually turned into costume parties with partygoers dressing as various supernatural or any type of creature, object, celebrity/character and more.

Every year is a a bit of a struggle to figure out what we should be for Halloween. Pink Martini Collection has chosen 5 easy to make top picks for this years costume ideas. These characters are easy to create and grab from local vintage, costume stores, any market, discount store or even borrowing from friends and family.

Go ahead, have fun…….and we hope you have a spooky Halloween this year!!!
