Happy Valentine’s Day, lovers! Whether you’re planning on going out for dinner, cuddling up by the fire or just trying to catch a moment of peace after you (finally) get the kids to bed, we hope you have a great time and enjoy each other’s company.
This Valentine’s season, we got thinking of how fun it would be to coordinate clothes with our sweeties. Matching clothing for couples has been on our minds ever since we read an article about a totally blissful couple who’ve been married for over 60 years and have rocked 146 custom-made matching outfits. And then we remembered the best coordinating couple outfits of all time.
Unlike Justin and Brit, however, you don’t need to match from head to toe. (You probably didn’t want to, anyway.) All it takes is one key coordinating piece.
For the prepsters: The polka dot sweater
You’ll look polished and fashion- forward in quirky blue polka dot sweaters. Take them out for a whirl around the skating rink, then cozy up with a couple of hot chocolates.
For the hippies: Paisley and more paisley
You’ll feel super groovy strolling down the street in matching paisley. Perfect for a night out at that new raw vegan resto you’ve been wanting to try.
For the cold-weather explorers: The grey peacoat
You’re not about to let the low temperature stop you from checking out everything your city has to offer. You’ll wander hand-in-hand through the chill, feeling cozy in your matching coats.
