Then and Now: The Lace Crop Top
Then: In this November 1988 image from Vogue UK shot by Steven Klein, a model wears an off-the-shoulder (What did you expect? It was the eighties!), long-sleeved, black lace crop top. The image is playful but sexed-up – her hair is tousled and she appears to be sans pants or skirt. Her makeup’s not bad, viewed through a 2015 lens – peachy lips and a strong brow would translate just as well now.
Now: Our Roselyne Top in Navy is as sweet as it is sexy. In classic navy blue, it’s less severe than the black top from the editorial. Like the top in Vogue, it has long sleeves, but it also has a cute little ruffle at the bottom. Wear it with a high-waisted skirt for a look that straddles the line between vintage-inspired and modern.
