Face scrubs can generally strip the natural oils in your skin leaving your skin dry (and if you have oily skin like myself, your skin will just reproduce the oil twice as much). Although everyone’s skin is different, this face scrub can be used and ultered slightly depending on your skin type. I would recommend using this face scrub twice to three times a week to see results. It’s probably not the best idea to use this face scrub everyday because you want your skin to adjust to the contents you’re putting on.
What you’ll need
- Tea tree oil
- Coconut oil
- Epsom Salt
- Shot glass
You’ll first dilute 2-3 (3 drops if your face is oily) of tea tree oil into the shot glass. Then add a teaspoon of Epsom Salt. Take half a tea spoon of coconut oil and mix it in with the recipe. Add a teaspoon of water to make the consistency a bit smoother.
The Epsom salts will exfoliate your skin and reduce redness. The tea tree oil balances the PH levels in your skin and closes your pores. The coconut oil will moisturize your skin and act as an antibacterial (which will slow down the process of dirt build up).
