Chasing the sun? Here's what to wear in Greece

Chasing the sun? Here's what to wear in Greece

What's your next destination? Even if it's hypothetical it's totally valid. It's almost that time of year when we start planning for a vacation. Isn't that where your vacation really begins? Planning your vacation outfits is one of the most exciting parts of the planning process. This is particularly the case for those of us who live in colder climates.

A wardrobe full of summer dresses, and flowy skirts in a vast myriad of colors and shapes - with only a week or so to wear them in. Unless you go on a two-week vacation, in which case there are two weeks to use them. But that also means that there's a sense of pressure when it comes to packing. This is your ONE week to dress as you live in Brazil. You better make it count. As such, doing a little research and planning is a great thing to do.

Alchemize the cold conditions, and prepare the ultimate vacation outfits. If you're looking for inspiration, here's a little guideline.

    1. Beachy, Flowy Dress

One item in your luggage can be a beachy flowy midi dress. There's nothing like a soft breeze flowing through your hem. It's very American Beauty plastic bag blowing in the wind. When you're on vacation shopping beforehand is a must, otherwise, you show up looking like a Monday - and to quote one of the greats, "Die Monday, Die!" - Garfield.

    2. Light Artsy Layers

Depending on the weather and what your base temperature is, layering items is a good way to keep warm and stylish in your summer clothes. Add an oversized buttoned up shirt to an otherwise summery outfit to add depth and warmth. If you're beach adjacent, chances are that it will be just a little windy. Better safe than sorry!

    3. Midi Skirt

Pack a midi skirt in your suitcase of dreams. Wear it with a simple tee or halterneck top for the ultimate summer look. A midi skirt is an ultimate girlfriend, it'll enhance all of your features and make it look like you made a tremendous effort - when in fact you simply stepped into the bottom, one leg at a time.

Swap your sandals for sneakers in the event that you wanna go for a comfortable hike. If there's a great party strap on those kitten heels and go dancing!

    4. Jumpsuit

Last but not least, it's as cute as it is difficult to pee in - very. Jokes aside, there's an ocean of cute rompers and jumpsuits out there! Pair your one piece with slip-on sandals and a high ponytail.

Baby Barefoot Contessa, it sure is cold outside. Staying indoors binge-watching Netflix it can get boring. Especially when winter has lasted for what feels like a year. Yes, bingeing The Umbrella Academy is an AMAZING way to spend your time, but there’s only one season. So what’s there to do after indulging a good fantasy series? Watching Juno helps the itch, but all movies come to an end. It’s time to pick up a hobby, knitting or cross stitch or softball or maybe a drumming class. Alternatively, you could learn to cook something new!
